Kimberly Evans, is an Executive Vice President at Northern Trust. She is the Head of Corporate Sustainability, Inclusion and Social Impact for the firm. This role is responsible for developing the enterprise strategies for Sustainability & ESG, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Community Development & Investing. Prior to this role, she served as the North America Head of Private Capital Fund Services, previously led the Governmental, Sovereign Wealth, and Taft Hartley/Union pension and treasury business, in the US, Central and South America, and was responsible for the Global Client Accounting Practice serving the data delivery and reporting needs of the firm's institutional and wealth clients.

With over 25 years of experience, Kim has become a business transformation expert. Kim has developed, led, and executed business and change strategies for five financial services companies, managed teams in six countries, and has implemented institutional programs impacting over 39,000 financial services professionals throughout her career. She has also owned and operated businesses as an independent consultant and as a franchise owner. Kim’s core expertise includes creating and executing business strategy, developing and maximizing talent, and ultimately driving change and transformation to make organizations agile, competitive, and profitable. She is highly sought after as a thought leader and speaker due to her authentic leadership presence, drive for results and vast experience in financial services.

Dr. Claire Ashley is a practicing GP and NHS Clinical Entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for addressing burnout and promoting wellbeing. She is the co-founder of BobbyChat, an AI companion that aims to solve burnout in the workplace by making talking therapies and coaching more accessible. With a neuroscience degree and lived experience of burnout, Dr Ashley has a unique skillset and expertise in mental health. With over 20 years of clinical practice, she is well-equipped to provide evidence-based techniques and strategies derived from her own journey of overcoming anxiety, depression, and burnout. Dr. Ashley's mission is to empower individuals, businesses, and organisations by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to recognise, prevent, and manage burnout and other mental health and wellbeing problems in the workplace.

Stephanie trained as an occupational therapist and has worked in rehabilitation roles in Australia and the UK. She joined Swiss Re's life and health claims team in 2008. As Claims Medical Manager, leading a team of allied health professionals, and currently in a product innovation role, Stephanie works with Swiss Re's insurer clients to apply clinical best practice to best practice disability claims management. Stephanie is committed to ensuring Swiss Re is an industry leader in championing evidence-based early intervention, holistic health management and sustainable return to work, and is proud that this goal is clearly reflected in Swiss Re's broader company mission: to make the world more resilient.

Jo conducts pioneering research and leads on strategy development, risk management and training and development programmes to enable people to thrive in work. She is Managing Partner of Affinity Health at Work, a research and consultancy organisation, and a Reader at Birkbeck, University of London. Jo’s work has been funded by the World Health Organisation, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, the UK Health and Safety Executive. She works with private, public and third sector organisations to improve mental health and wellbeing at work. Jo regularly contributes to national guidance and publishes widely to share new knowledge, evidence and tools to promote and sustain health and wellbeing at work.

Claire joined Mental Health UK in 2021 with over 20 years’ experience in the Employee Assistance Programme sector. She has worked as a counsellor, case manager, account manager and business development manager. She has been a member of EAPA UK for 15 years and has spent time on their Board. With a strong background in both counselling and psychology Claire brings specialist knowledge and a naturally consultative approach. She has supported individual employees and worked closely with Senior Management, Human Resources, Occupational Health professionals, Trade Unions and Health and Safety groups to deliver effective workplace mental health programmes to organisations in a wide range of industry sectors.

Emily is Avanade's first Global Well-being Lead and is responsible for developing and implementing Avanade's Well-being strategy across 26 countries and 17k+ employees. She has over 20 years’ experience working with clients in the technology consulting sector to find innovative and practical solutions to complex challenges. Her personal experience with burnout led her to establish Avanade's first cohort of mental health allies and began her move into HR 5 years ago. A strong advocate for mental health and the importance of sharing stories, she has been recognized externally for her efforts. Her own journey has made her a thought leader and driving force behind Avanade's commitment to well-being, making it a strategic company priority, and a focus for all its employees worldwide.

Susan combines an academic post in Organisational Psychology with her work as a business psychologist,  an executive coach, mediator and consultant.  She specialises in working with below the surface dynamics and vulnerability at work.  Her research interests include endings, failure and resilience with books published on these topics.

Kathryn oversees This Can Happen's new initiative - Research & Insights, which is helping companies to measure and benchmark the success of their mental health strategies.

Arti Kashyap-Aynsley started her career as a Chartered Accountant, whilst also embarking on a 15+ year journey in the Professional Services Sector. She has worked between audit, tax and advisory services, spending the largest chunk of her career as a Management Consulting, focusing on large scale Finance Transformation programmes. Working and travelling the globe opened Arti's eyes to the impacts of what our working lives can have on our overall wellbeing. Therefore, with the experience she gained in her career, she decided to pivot into wellbeing, where she first worked with Deloitte Consulting in the UK, to design, develop and deliver on a comprehensive wellbeing strategy. By being able to create positive change, Arti was inspired to continue to grow in this field and joined Ocado Group as their Global Health & Wellbeing Leader. Here she has been able to develop and launch a group wide wellbeing strategy, whilst also exploring the intersectionalities of Wellbeing with broader ESG elements such as Inclusion. Through this work Arti has been able to uncover her passion for diversity and inclusion and has since become the Global Head of Wellbeing & Inclusion at Ocado Group. Outside of her day to day working life Arti is a qualified life coach, as well as an Advisor and Non-Executive Director to various organisations.

Claire Murray, is the Colleague Wellbeing Lead and a Culture Consultant at Bank of Ireland. Claire is passionate about colleague experience, from health and wellbeing to engagement and belonging. Claire took on the role of Wellbeing Lead six months before the pandemic, building out a programme that helped support colleagues during lockdown and beyond. She’s had various roles across Culture, Organisational Effectiveness, Diversity & Inclusion in addition to HR Business Partner roles.

Emma is currently Global Health and Wellbeing Lead at recently established healthcare company Haleon, after 15 years working at GSK. Emma is experienced in developing and delivering global health and wellbeing programmes on a range of different wellbeing topics to varied employee populations.

Anita has always been intrigued by the human mind, which led to her completing a master's degree in Occupational Psychology. Anita has since worked in Leadership, Learning and Organisational Development for nearly 20 years with experience spanning across various sectors including FMCG and Professional Services at organisations such as Deloitte and Coca Cola European Partners. She now uses her experience to deliver effective solutions as part or her consultancy and is a qualified coach. Anita is a public speaker who delivers sessions on topics around mental health, infertility and grief, intersecting with her experience as a South Asian woman. Anita has been on a personal journey with mental illness where she was diagnosed with Complex PTSD after an initial in patient stay at a psychiatric hospital. She has since been raising awareness around mental health to break the stigma in the workplace. Anita is a Trustee for the mental health charity, My Black Dog and a published poet.

As Chief People Officer, EMEA, Helen Matthews is the overarching guardian of the agency’s employee experience, co-designing new ways to find, know, grow and keep our talent. She specialises in creating, shaping and delivering world-class employee experiences, ensuring organisations are future-proofed to succeed. Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Matthews worked as Chief People Officer and Head of DEI EMEA at Ogilvy UK, where she led the award-winning people strategy, working across the integrated agency to design a best-in-class employee experience and award winning wellbeing strategy.

Chris Brown considered he was living a ‘normal life’, until his son, aged 22, took his own life in early 2020. Suddenly, his ‘normal existence’, became anything but. He now focuses on supporting companies with their neurodiversity and mental health approaches, using his suicide experience to make it a very personal story. Exploring mental health issues surrounding suicide, Chris is the author of the podcast “My Argument with Grief”, where he tries to unpick why it happened, and share his every day with those going through a similar loss and find a way to reach out to young people with relatable anguish in their own lives.

Louise is Director of Services for Jami, a mental health charity that provides support to the Jewish Community. A qualified occupational therapist, throughout her career Louise has demonstrated a strong commitment to finding and developing innovative ways to support people with mental health problems. She has been involved implementing organisational changes that promote recovery in mental health, has had several articles published in occupational therapy journals and regularly presents at industry conferences. Louise graduated from Brunel University in 2012, receiving a first class honours and the London School of Occupational Therapy Prize.

Dhwani is an associate in the finance team at Clifford Chance London (CC) and the founder and co-chair of the Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist Society (the HSJB Society) at CC. She is a practicing Hindu and moved from London to Mumbai, India in late 2021. The HSJB Society hosts the annual CC Diwali event and provides a platform for colleagues to have a strong sense of community . Members are involved in charity and fundraising work, organising meet-ups events and other educational events involving faith. Personally for Dhwani, she has grown to appreciate and seek a deeper connect with spirituality and her faith since she moved to London. When she finds the time, her favourite thing to do in the city is to visit Hampstead Heath and meditate.

Will Van Der Hart is Wellbeing Chaplain to the CRT Network and director of The Mind and Soul Foundation which resources churches to understand and support mental wellbeing. He has been an Anglican Vicar in London for 19 years and has been working in the emotional health arena since his mental health experiences following the London Bombings of 2005. Will is the author of a number of books including, Mind Fuel, The Worry Book, The Perfectionism Book, The Guilt book and The Power of Belonging. He is an executive coach working with individuals and businesses to increase confidence and release potential.

Sabah is the Chief Executive of the Better Community Business Network (BCBN), a grant-giving charity which has distributed 1.4 million to over 70 charities across the UK. She has led various initiatives through BCBN, including an ex-offender housing project, launching the Muslim Fostering Network and founding the Muslim Mind collaborative. Sabah hosts the Muslim Mind podcast series which provides key learning and insights for system leaders and commissioners of mental health services. She advises various organisations on faith and culture sensitive approaches to engaging with Muslim communities. Sabah received an OBE in 2020 for her work with Muslim youth.

Barbara Jeffery, McKinsey Health Institute Affiliated Partner and Partner, London

Barbara Jeffery is a partner in the London office, a McKinsey Health Institute Affiliated Partner and a leader in McKinsey’s People & Organizational Performance Practice in the UK. She focuses on delivering transformative organization journeys—journeys that change organizations and individuals as people and leaders.

Barbara has more than ten years of experience in organizational design, culture and change, leadership development, and HR function design in the context of transformations, mergers, separations and IPOs. She works across industries, with particular depth in pharmaceuticals and medtech, consumer health, and public sector.

Barbara also holds a BA in philosophy, politics, and economics from University of Oxford and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD.

Katie Lynch is the Founder and CEO of Apiary Life, a life management platform that meets the needs of entire workforces as they navigate life and all its (often stressful) changes and transitions, including caregiving, illness, family forming, relationship breakdown and bereavement. Prior to founding Apiary, Katie practised as a family lawyer at Payne Hicks Beach, one of the United Kingdom's leading family law firms. Katie's mission is to revolutionize the support systems in place in our personal lives, so that we may continue to thrive in our professional ones. Katie currently resides and works in New York City.

Mustafa is the Head of Reward and Workplace Relations for Tesco which is the largest private sector employer in the UK. Prior to this, he has worked in both the private and public sector for British Airways, Heathrow Airport and Network Rail. His career in human resources has specialised in negotiating with trade unions, implementing workplace change, developing HR policies and managing employee casework including employment tribunals. Mustafa graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in organisational psychology from City University, London. He sits as an employer panel member for the Central Arbitration Committee which is a tribunal of the Department for Business and Trade that resolves collective workplace disputes involving trade unions. He is also the Chair of Muslim Aid, an international charity that supports millions of people across the world with emergency relief, healthcare, housing, education and livelihoods.

James is the founder of the Positive Parenting Alliance and creator of the Parents Promise. Having seen up close the multitude of issues in the family courts and the numbers of children and parents affected James wanted to begin a new conversation about separation. In May 2021, after many conversations with like-minded people and organisations the Parents Promise was launched. Backed by over 20 organisations ranging from the likes of the children’s mental health charity Place2Be to Relate to Black Mums Upfront the aim of the Alliance is to effect important cultural change around separation in the UK and beyond. In January 2023 the Alliance launched a ground-breaking HR initiative encouraging a number of large UK corporations including Tesco, ASDA, NatWest and Unilever to sign up to recognise separation as a ‘life event’.

As for James’s ‘day job’ he has 20 years experience in marketing and PR and has worked ‘both sides of the fence’ as agency leader and client. In his spare time James is a keen runner, bourgeoning autism awareness activist and usually wrapped tightly around the fingers of his two little girls.

Alessandra La Via is a leading speaker in the fields of digital wellbeing and healthy digital culture. With the University of Aberdeen, she has been researching the impact of technology on wellbeing and use of data to measure employee digital experiences and their impact on KPIs. She experienced an ‘always-on’ culture in her career as a Big-4 accountant. In pursuit of a better tech-life balance, she walked 500 miles on the Camino in Spain, connecting with her passion to find healthier ways of working in our digital age.She speaks from her research findings and has devised leadership programmes and digital culture diagnostics which now support some of the largest global organisations to improve their digital cultures. She envisions a future where leaders are empowered by data and training to re-negotiate their team’s relationship with technology. A future where society enjoys greater wellbeing, performance and belonging within digital workplaces.
