In our opening session of the day, we heard from our partners across different industries about the current landscape of workplace mental health in the US, identifying both the barriers and challenges that exist, alongside where the best opportunities lie to support employees with their wellbeing.
In our first keynote of the day, we learnt how to recognise the impact that challenging behaviours in a workplace can have upon our mental wellbeing, sharing learnings with employees in attendance about how they can thrive if they find themselves in these situations.
In this tumultuous world that we live in, it's essential that workplaces can offer employees a psychologically safe space to be themselves. In this session, we explored how Employee Resource Groups in particular can be an impactful way to build psychological safety at work and support employee mental wellbeing across all workplace demographics.
This academic keynote spotlighted research about a growing but tangible trend - the four day working week - and highlighted the benefits that this can bring to mental wellbeing in the workplace.
In this keynote, we shared international learnings on fertility and mental wellbeing from our owned research, highlighting the intrinsic connection between the two and sharing key applications for US workplaces in best supporting their staff with these challenges.
Sleep can have a tremendous impact upon our mental wellbeing - but what can we actually do to improve the quality of the rest that we get, especially in these turbulent times? In this keynote, we learnt more about the mental benefits of sleep, tackle some common misconceptions that exist about sleeping, and share practical steps to improve our quality of sleep.
In our closing session of the day, we took a look at Latin America, understanding the new workplace legislation coming into effect around mental health, and highlighting both the challenges and opportunities that this can bring to supporting staff in this space.
